Resident Permit

When you move to Netherlands you need to have Resident Permit to live in Netherlands. This is official documents which is provided by IND as proof of authorization to live in Netherlands.

The Resident card can be collected from nearby IND office by providing the details of Visa information after you arrival in Netherlands.

Documents required

  1. MVV Letter
  2. Passport

Tuberculosis Test

After having arrived in the Netherlands, you will undergo a medical test for tuberculosis (TB)

In general, Everyone from non-EU countries must take a tuberculosis test

You are granted this permit on the condition that you will actually undergo a TB test within the first three months from their arrival. If you fail to do so – despite signing the declaration of intent – your residence permit may be withdrawn.

PROCEDURE

  • Contact nearest GGD (local Health Service) for an appointment for the test
  • Please take the ‘TB test referral form’ with you to the appointment.

Please note: The IND will not make the appointment for you! You must make the appointment yourself.

BSN

The citizen service number (BSN) is a unique personal number allocated to everyone registered in the Personal Records Database (BRP). Everyone who registers with the BRP is automatically given a BSN

BSNis issued when you start living in the Netherlands, a BSN will be issued by the municipality once you have registered at the local municipality

You need to take Appointment at Municipality office for registration and you need the below documents for registration

  1. Passport
  2. Birth Certificate (Legalized Document)
  3. Netherlands House Rental Agreement
